BASF Hikes All Kaolin Prices
December 12, 2011 - BASF Corp of Florham Park, NJ has announced kaolin price increases for both paper and industrial applications. Effective immediately, the company will raise its prices up to 7% for hydrous and calcined products.
Huber Raises Prices
December 2, 2011 - Huber Engineered Materials of Atlanta, GA has announced a price increase for its entire line of alumina trihydrate, magnesium hydroxide, and cast polymer products. The increases, ranging from 3% to 8%, are effective January 1, 2012 or as contracts allow.
NYCO Raises Global Wollastonite Prices
November 28, 2011 - NYCO Minerals Inc of Willsboro, NY has announced that effective January 1, 2012 prices for its wollastonite products will rise 6-8% globally. The company says the increase is necessary to offset rising costs for chemicals, government regulations, transportation, and energy.
Imerys Hikes Paper Kaolin Prices
November 22, 2011 - Imerys Pigments for Paper and Packaging North America of Atlanta, GA has announced price increases for kaolin and calcium carbonate effective January 1, 2012. The price of kaolin produced in the U.S. and Brazil, including calcined kaolin products, will increase by 5-7%. The prices of ground calcium carbonate will increase by 5%.
KaMin Increases Prices for Paper Market

November 8, 2011 - Thiele Kaolin Co of Sandersville, GA has announced a price increase of up to 8% on kaolin products for all markets, effective January 1, 2012. The company says the increase is needed to help offset higher prices for variable costs, including power, transportation, and chemicals.
FMC Wyoming Hikes All Soda Ash Prices
September 29, 2011 - FMC Wyoming Corp of Philadelphia, PA has announced that effective November 1, 2011, or as contract terms permit, it will increase both list and off-list prices by US$15/ton for all grades of soda ash. The increase applies to both bulk and packaged products.
